Rooted in Respect is a collaborative initiative of Indigenous Regeneration, Un Mar de Colores, and The Queer Sol Collective, supported by The San Diego Foundation's Thrive Outside Cohort.

 

We respect your privacy and aim to be transparent about what information we collect and why. 1. Information We Collect We collect information in the following ways: Information you give us. When you fill out our "Partner with Us" form, contact us, request a training, contribute a story, or join our educator directory, you may provide your name, email address, organization, role, and any message or content you choose to share. Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider (Wix.com) automatically collects standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring URL. We will not publish, share, or use such materials without explicit, informed consent from the community or knowledge holder, in accordance with their cultural protocols.

5. Data Retention We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. You may request deletion of your information at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including those provided by our hosting platform Wix.com — to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to: • Access the personal information we hold about you. • Correct inaccurate information. • Delete your information ("right to be forgotten"). • Opt out of email communications at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. • Object to certain uses of your information.
